Roland Faigle, MD, PhD, FAHA, is now accepting patients at First Physicians Group Neurology.
Dr. Faigle is a fellowship-trained vascular neurologist. He specializes in diagnosing, treating and managing cerebrovascular diseases including ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, as well as other conditions affecting the blood vessels in the brain and spinal cord.
Dr. Faigle earned his medical degree from Marburg University in Marburg, Germany. He completed his residency in neurology and fellowship in vascular neurology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD. In addition he holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Investigation and a PhD in Medical Cell Biology. Dr. Faigle serves as a Section Editor for the Journal Stroke and has served on national committees of professional neurological organizations. He has been an invited speaker at national and international stroke conferences, and has been elected a Fellow of the American Heart Association (FAHA). Dr. Faigle has more than 40 peer-reviewed publications on stroke and related topics. Before joining FPG, Dr. Faigle served on the faculty at Johns Hopkins for over 9 years. He is a clinical associate professor at Florida State University.
Dr. Faigle is now practicing at First Physicians Group Neurology located at 1921 Waldemere Street, Suite 701 in Sarasota.
