Francisco Battaglia, MD, FACOG, is transitioning within our system from an OB/GYN hospitalist at Sarasota Memorial Hospital to the First Physicians Group OB/GYN Venice MOB practice with Dr. Anthony Canino and Dr. Angela Marshall.
Dr. Battaglia is a board-certified Obstetrics & Gynecology specialist. He received his medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Buenos Aires School of Medicine in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He completed his residencies at Hospital General F. Santojanni – University of Buenos Aires and at the Albany Medical College in Albany, New York. He completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Center for Studies in Gynecology and Reproduction in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also completed a master’s degree in health services administration at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida.
Dr. Battaglia believes that mutual respect, a spirit of cooperation, compassionate bedside care and robust communication are a necessity for providing the highest quality patient care.
