Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new obstetrics and gynecology specialist to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Lauren Runnels, MD, is now accepting patients at three locations: the FPG OB/GYN practice at the Clark Road Health Care Center, Lorraine Corners Health Care Center and Waldemere Medical Plaza. Dr. Runnels has extensive experience in a wide range of obstetrical and gynecological concerns, including contraception, pregnancy, high-risk obstetrics, childbirth, postpartum depression, infertility, sexual dysfunction, menstrual irregularities, hysterectomy and tubal ligation procedures, as well as preventative care, such as pelvic exams, pap smears and biopsies.
Dr. Runnels received her medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport (LSUHSC) in 2005. She then went on to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency program at LSUHSC in 2009.
