Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new interventional cardiologist to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Carson Turner, MD, is now accepting patients at FPG’s Venice Medical Office Building on our SMH-Venice Campus.
Dr. Turner is board certified and fellowship trained in interventional cardiology and cardiovascular disease. He specializes in treating coronary artery disease, rhythm disorders/arrhythmia/atrial fibrillation, cardiomyopathy, heart failure, pericardial disease, valve disease and vascular disorders. Dr. Turner performs a wide range of cardiovascular testing and procedures including nuclear cardiac stress testing and stress echocardiography, echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) and lower extremity arterial evaluation LEA/ABI and carotid artery testing and cardiac catheterization, angioplasty and stent placement.
Dr. Turner received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky. He completed his residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and his fellowship at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
