Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new general surgeon to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Sharfi Sarker, MD-MPH, FACS, is now accepting patients at FPG’s Venice Medical Office Building on our SMH-Venice Campus.
Dr. Sarker is board certified in general surgery and fellowship trained in minimally invasive surgery including advanced laparoscopic procedures. She performs surgeries for a wide-range of abdominal disorders including appendix, gall bladder, spleen, colon and hernia. Dr. Sarker specializes in breast surgery and has experience as director of a comprehensive breast health program.
Dr. Sarker received her medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine and Public Health in Boston, Massachusetts. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Illinois, Metropolitan Group Hospitals, in Chicago and her fellowship at Loyola University in Maywood, Illinois.
