Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming two new gastroenterology physicians to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network this month.
First Physicians Group is proud to introduce Mark Radetic, MD, and Michael Slater, DO, who are accepting new patients at FPG’s Gastroenterology practices in Sarasota and Venice.
As specialists in gastroenterology, Drs. Radetic and Slater have broad clinical experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures to treat the digestive system. They both specialize in esophageal disorders, dysphagia, gastroesophageal reflux, bowel disease, and EGD/colonoscopy. Dr Radetic also performs ERCP, EUS, and advanced polyp/lesion resection.
Dr. Radetic received his medical degree from Northeast Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio. He then went on to complete a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and a Subspecialty Fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He will be practicing in FPG’s Sarasota office at 1852 Hillview Street, Suite 301.
Dr. Slater received his medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Naples Community Healthcare System (NCH) in Naples, Florida and his Gastroenterology Fellowship at Norwalk Hospital/Yale University in Norwalk, Connecticut. He is board certified in Internal Medicine. He will be practicing in FPG’s Venice office on the SMH-Venice hospital campus at 200 Healthcare Way, 2nd Floor.
