Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new Gastroenterologist to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Dustin Albert, MD, FACG, is now accepting patients at the FPG Gastroenterology practice on Hillview Street in Sarasota.
Board-certified and fellowship-trained in Gastroenterology, Dr. Albert specializes in esophageal disorders, GERD and reflux, colon cancer screening and prevention, liver disorders, irritable and inflammatory bowel disease, and hemorrhoid banding.
Dr. Albert received his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Following his fellowship, he served as Chief of the Gastroenterology Clinic at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital providing inpatient and outpatient care for military members, retirees and their families enabling him to attain broad clinical experience in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures to treat the digestive system.
