Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new family medicine doctor to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Victoria Johnson, MD, is now accepting patients at FPG’s Family Medicine Practice at Jacaranda in Venice, along with Darrin Schwartz, DO. Dr. Johnson provides primary family medical care and specializes in wellness-based care by promoting health through regular physicals and routine checkups. She is experienced in meeting the diverse health needs of children and adults including diagnosing, treating and managing a wide range of diseases, illnesses and conditions.
Dr. Johnson received her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL, in 1997. She went on to complete her family practice residency in 2000 and her women’s health fellowship in 2001 at MacNeal Family Practice/MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL. She worked in private practice for many years in Geneva, IL. She then joined Northwestern Family Medicine Residency Program as full-time faculty teaching and seeing patients from 2017 until October 2021.
