Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new family medicine doctor to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Kenneth Reiss, DO, will be joining Dr. Meghan Buhler, Dr. Alena Gerasimova, Dr. Reed Holland, and Dr. Christopher Jefferson in accepting patients at FPG Internal Medicine and Family Medicine at the Venice Medical Office Building on the SMH-Venice hospital campus. Dr. Reiss provides patient-centered, comprehensive care for ages 18-100. His areas of specialty include preventive medicine, hypertension, COPD, diabetes and obesity/weight management.
Dr. Reiss is board certified in family medicine. He received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine in Davie, Florida. He completed his family medicine residency at North Broward Hospital District in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Reiss has provided medical care as a practicing physician to the Southwest Florida community for the past 16 years in Port Charlottee prior to joining First Physicians Group. He has served as Medical Director for home health in Port Charlotte. He previously worked as a Medical Director of an urgent care center in Fort Lauderdale.
