Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new endocrinologist to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Jessica Betancourt, MD, is now accepting patients at FPG’s Endocrinology practices in Sarasota and Venice.
Dr. Betancourt is board certified and fellowship trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. She specializes in clinical endocrinology including the diagnosis and medical management of thyroid and parathyroid disorders, pre-diabetes and diabetes. Her specialties also include obesity, pituitary and adrenal gland disorders, and osteoporosis.
Dr. Betancourt received her medical degree from the Universidad de Carabobo Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud in Valencia, Venezuela. She completed an internship at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, Bronx, NY and her fellowship was with the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida. Dr. Betancourt is fluent in English and Spanish.
