Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new interventional cardiologist to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
William S. Woolverton, MD, FACC, FSCAI, is now accepting patients at FPG’s Venice Medical Office Building on our SMH-Venice Campus.
Dr. Woolverton is board certified and fellowship trained in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. He specializes in percutaneous treatment of complex coronary disease. Dr. Woolverton performs a wide range of cardiac services including comprehensive echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, vascular and endovascular medicine.
Dr. Woolverton received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed two fellowships, one in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center in Jacksonville, Florida, and one in interventional cardiology at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in DuBois, Pennsylvania.
