New Critical Care Pulmonology Physicians Join FPG

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming two new critical care pulmonologists to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network this month.

First Physicians Group is proud to introduce Haares Mirzan, MD, and Evan Wasserman, DO, who are accepting new patients at FPG’s Pulmonology Group in the Waldemere Medical Plaza on the Sarasota Memorial Hospital – Sarasota Campus and at the Medical Office Building on the Sarasota Memorial Hospital – Venice Campus.

Fellowship trained in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine, Dr. Mirzan and Dr. Wasserman specialize in diseases and conditions affecting the lungs and airways. They both treat a wide range of respiratory issues including asthma, bronchitis, bronchiectasis, COPD, cystic fibrosis, emphysema, interstitial lung disease, lung cancer, mesothelioma, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary vascular disease, pleural effusion and sarcoidosis.

Dr. Haares Mirzan received his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine & College of Arts and Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency and his Fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at the Mayo Clinic School of Graduate Medical Education in Jacksonville, Florida.

Dr. Evan Wasserman received his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University Kiran C. Patel College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut, and his Fellowship in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida.
