Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is proud to welcome back Dr. Emese Simon, MD, FAAPMR. Dr. Simon worked on our inpatient rehabilitation unit as co-medical director from 2013-2016 and had her own private physiatry practice in Sarasota from 2006-2017 before relocating to Maine. We are pleased to welcome her to First Physicians Group and the inpatient rehabilitation medical team at our Rehabilitation Pavilion.
Dr. Simon is board-certified in physical medicine & rehabilitation and lifestyle medicine. She provides both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for adult patients admitted to Sarasota Memorial’s Rehabilitation Pavilion. She is an expert in designing comprehensive, patient-centered plans for those facing a variety of neurological, orthopedic/musculoskeletal, cardiac and cancer-related conditions.

- Cardiac rehabilitation

Dr. Simon received her medical degree from University of Szeged Faculty of Medicine in Szeged, Hungary. She completed her residency and internship at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in the Department of Rehabilitation and Physician Medicine in Lexington, Kentucky.
