Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new family medicine doctor to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network this week.
Laila Folchini Pereira, MD, will be joining Dr. Victoria Johnson and Dr. Darrin Schwartz in accepting patients at FPG’s Jacaranda Family Practice in Venice.
Dr. Folchini Pereira provides medical care and manages acute and chronic medical conditions for individuals over 5 years of age. She performs annual wellness exams, as well as comprehensive and preventative screenings. Dr. Folchini Pereira is passionate about providing family and community-based care. She was born and raised in Brazil and is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and basic Italian.
Dr. Folchini Pereira received her medical degree from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in Florianopolis, SC, Brazil and completed her family medicine residency at St. Francis Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware.
