Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is welcoming a new Gastroenterologist to the health system’s First Physicians Group (FPG) network.
Sara Chalifoux, MD, is now accepting patients at the FPG Gastroenterology practice in the Venice Medical Office Building on the SMH-Venice hospital campus.
Board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Chalifoux specializes in colon cancer screening, treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease, upper endoscopy procedures and treatment for irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease.
Dr. Chalifoux received her medical degree from the University of Missouri in Kansas City, Missouri, and completed her internship and residency at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Her Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology was completed at the Scripps Clinic in San Diego, California.
First Physicians Group Gastroenterology is located on the 2nd Floor of the Venice Medical Office Building at 200 Healthcare Way, North Venice.
